Mechanobiology is a dynamic discipline, one that demands dedication and researchers with both a broad vision and the drive to succeed. Here at MBI we are creating a new and powerful community of motivated scientists committed to the advancement of the discipline and the future of mechanobiology.

Policy Statements

The MBI Safety and Health (S & H) policies are as follows:

  1. Prevention and minimization of risks
    MBI prevents and minimizes the occurrence of injury & ill-health through proactive hazards identification, risk assessment and implementation of risk control measures.
  2. Compliance with regulations and standards
    MBI takes all reasonable efforts and measures to achieve and maintain compliance with the applicable national S & H legislations, NUS S & H policy, directives, and good practices.
  3. Communication
    MBI ensures that all S & H matters are communicated to all persons working under the control of the Institute with the intent that they are aware of their individual S & H obligations.
  4. Resources and continual improvement
    MBI maintains sufficient resources for the implementation of its S & H management system. This S & H management system will be subjected to periodic review for continual improvement of its management and performance.
  5. Foster a positive and holistic safety and health culture
    MBI is committed to building a positive S & H culture. By adopting a Total Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) approach, MBI integrates safety and health considerations—physical, mental, and social— ensuring a supportive and healthy working environment for everyone at the Institute.
